OS X Mavericks is quite good, and is at least optimized for most hardware. On a brand new Mac, OS X Yosemite runs quite well, however. Fortunately, most 2010 Macs came with physical reinstall DVD volumes of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, so you should be good to go with that. The Mac OS X beta was a preview for hardcore fanatics. OS X 10.0 was not for the faint of heart. And OS X 10.1 was the first version of Apple’s new operating system that was ready for everyday use. Install HandBrake. HandBrake is an open-source application that allows you to copy DVDs to your Mac. HandBrake can rip any unprotected DVD by default, but you'll still need to install more tools before you can use it to copy protected/encrypted DVDs.
